I’m considering getting after-market tints added to my Enyaq, but I can’t decide whether it might actually look a bit better without tints. There are plenty of premium SUV’s out there without tints (Range Rover Velars, Volvo XC90’s etc).
My local Skoda has an almost identical Enyaq to mine, with tinted windows. This was the best angle I could use to compare, as it had cars parked either side of it.
The reason I’m potentially considering it, is purely aesthetic - I’m not too bothered about ‘privacy’.
What do you think? It’s only about £220 to get it done.
Thanks
To tint, or not to tint - that is the question.
My wife and I refer to them as “drug dealer“ windows. We’re not fans & certainly wouldn’t pay for them, but clearly a lot of people would disagree with us.
If there’s nothing else to spend the £220 on & you like the look then go for it (assuming your company permits such mod’s)

. That’s one way of looking at it !
It would be done to match the factory spec (but at around a quarter of the cost of having the ‘convenience’ pack).
Our fleet manager already approved
I’m still in two minds however, hence it’s great to hear what people think.

iV80 Loft, Black, 21” Betria, 125kW, Climate Plus, Asst Drive Basic. Tethered PodPoint. Ordered May 2021. Delivered Nov 2021. Regrettably returned Jan 2024 (Company car. Changed jobs).
I am totally with MikeJL on this: dislike tints and privacy glass intensely; as well as the “shady” look, they make the interior gloomy. Much prefer the cleaner non tint look as well. Price is good though if that’s what you like.
Why I really dislike them: when you are side by side with another car at a junction or roundabout, and would normally be able to look through the car next to you at what the traffic is doing; but can't because their windows are tinted.
Enyaq iV 60. Energy Blue with EcoSuite, 19" wheels, 100kW charging.
Comfort Basic, Assisted Drive Plus (Drive Sport), HUD, Parking Basic, Transport, Panoramic Sunroof.

Our Kodiaq windows are tinted and we really miss it in the Enyaq. We also have the window blinds in the Kodiaq which are never required as the tints are effective enough.
I hear a lot of similar negative comments about them and I just don't understand. They just take the glare off of the sun and nothing wrong with a bit of privacy unless your into dogging of course!.

Enyaq 80 Suite, Race Blue, Panoramic Sunroof, 20" Vega Alloys and a silly overpriced rubber mat for the boot.

I will be getting mine tinted hopefully before collection to protect the little ones in the back of our 60 Loft, I prefer my cars to have B pillar back tinted but not limo black somewhere between factory tint and slightly darker.
60 Loft, Parking Basic Package, Moon White
