I'm looking to buy an Enyaq 80, 2021, done 44k miles. That's a lot for a 3yo car but the price does reflect that. This is the battery health check. Can someone tell me if this looks ok or if there's anything I should be concerned about? 92% seems like quite a drop.

Looks pretty darn healthy to me.

Where do people get battery health stats from?

The car doesn't have much mileage, but it can be seen, that it was used by someone, who didn't care about the life of the battery, because he knew that he would sell it after 4 years.

Can you explain why you think that please? This is why I posted, I don't know what any of the numbers mean.

I would guess hes referring to standing time while fully charged. Leaving the battery at 100% for long periods of time isnt great for it. Unforutunaltey i dont know how they're deriving figures for "fully charged", is that only 100% or is it just whatever you set on the dashboard.

92% health is fine IMO. About what you'd expect on a 3 year old car with medium mileage i think.

Yeah if the car is yours rather than leased, you wouldn’t have the battery sitting at 100% for over 10% of the time. You would expect at most 1% of the time even if you need 100% charge all the time. You would just charge and go. Rather than leave the car sit at 100% for 3hr of the day every day.

I guess it finishes charging at 5am and you dont leave until 8 then its easy to get to that 3 hours a day!

Thanks everyone. So I understand you to be saying the 11% of time standing fully charged is high. Is it "don't buy this car" high, or is the 92% residual energy content acceptable?

I'd buy it. 92% SOH is perfectly acceptable.

In reality the difference in how far you can travel depending on the weather and traffic conditions will probably outweigh that slight degradation from when it was new anyway.
