Fuse 3 for the onboard charger is in the fuse box under the hood, labelled "Front Compartment Fuse Box" in this doc https://fuse-box.info/skoda/skoda-enyaq ... 2023-fuses

For me the reset did the trick. Hopefully it stays that way!
Yep I saw this and that’s where I got the idea from to do this.

I deffo pulled fuse 3 from under the bonnet. I used the manual to locate it it.

I did this twice and did not fix my issue.

So can you confirm? Are you now able to use your chargers own schedule to control the charging of your car now. As opposed to the schedule in the car’s own menu, which is not in question here.

Thanks

Don't know if this is related I am on V3.5 software & have been having issues with Octopus Intelligent Go since about mid may. Been working fine everyday prior to that. Reported it to octopus for which this is the latest reply I received Dated 17th June.

I apologise for any inconvenience caused. Regarding the issue with controlling your car's charging Our technical team is currently investigating this matter to find a solution as there is currently some ongoing issues at the moment.

The VW Group is going through some change. At the moment, affected customers will have incomplete charging schedules and may not meet their target charge. This applies to the following brands:
Audi
Cupra
SEAT
Skoda
Volkswagen

You may have to disconnect the smart charging option at this current moment and set up a manual charging schedule while we get this sorted.

We appreciate your patience while we work on resolving this issue. If you have any further questions or concerns, please let me know.

Kind regards,
Hannah

Aragorn wrote: Fri Jun 21, 2024 8:02 am As a workaround with IO, simply pressing the stop button on the screen saves the car from charging while you wait for the schedule. Only takes a moment. I usually plug in, then walk round the passenger side to grab my bag and lean in and press the "stop" button while i'm grabbing my bag.
This is a solution I have tried before. But it is not fool proof.

On those said occasions where Skoda/VW servers are down, you will wake up having had no charging overnight.

Reason being is you have plugged the car in then manually stopped it. Since Octopus is unable to talk to the car due to the server issue, there is nothing to tell the car to restart the charging at 23:30.

I have had the car long enough to had all these frustrations occur too many times.

The solution I was using with the schedule, guaranteed a charge at 23:30 at the overnight rate regardless of the status of the Skoda/VW servers.

And I didn’t have to do anything other than plug it in and forget about it.

Hence my frustration that I can’t do this now on ME3.7.
HI. I got my 3.7 update last week (they had the car for a week trying to install!) and now I have the exact same problem! I'm on Octopus too so want to benefit from the cheap rate period of 12.30 till 4.30. I will programme the car instead as you suggest. One quick question though - rather than clear the smart schedule on the PodPoint, did you just select Manual from the APP instead? Or are you still on the Smart Schedule (without the schedule - if that makes sense?). I really need a solution by Friday, as we are away on a road trip! Thanks in advance.

To get Intelligent Octopus Go to work you don’t actually need any schedules turned on in the car or charger.

In fact that’s how Octopus tell you to set it up.

For me I prefer using a schedule aswell.

That is the only way to guarantee not being over charged. In the rare occasions where you plug it in at 5pm and Octopus and Skoda can’t talk. In which case your car charges straight away at the day rate. By the time you realise it’s cost £9 instead of a quarter of that.

In answer to your question I have left the schedules on the Podpoint but selected Manual.

Since the upgrade to ME3.7

I have found the following :

Charger schedule on, Car schedule off - Doesn’t work

Charger schedule off, Car schedule on - Does work ok

Charger schedule off, Car schedule off, leave it to Octopus to sort it - Does work ok.

FYI I always set the schedules to 23:30 - 08:00

I’m yet to get the update but I have the same setup as you. The car gets its update next week. I did have 7 months though where Octopus didn’t bill me. When they eventually did bill me there was no cheaper EV charging. IO simply hadn’t worked. I supplied the details of when the car charged via the Podpoint app and Octopus agreed to reduce the bill on the basis that they decide when to charge the car. It did take a lot of emails though!

At the risk of asking a stupid question - how do you set the schedule on the car? Do you have to set a charge location first? Thanks

Its something specific to the Podpoint IMO. Even back on ME2.0 we had issues with Podpoint chargers doing weird stuff on the Enyaq, like charging at half speed.

Plenty folk using the Ohme charger with its scheduling without issue.

As for using the stop button in the car... I've done 45k miles in my Enyaq, it gets charged pretty much every day. In all that time i dont think its ever completely failed to charge. Once or twice its not reached target due to missing one of its "slots" overnight, but still put some charge in. But once or twice in what must be approaching 1000 charging sessions has to be pretty reasonable. Infact i've had more issues with the charger itself, its tripped its RCD a few times for unknown reasons, but even then probably <5 times.

If you want to charge without the smarts, other electricity providers offer similar tariffs with a basic fixed window overnight.

Personally I have never had an issue related to the Podpoint in 3 years. On ME2.0 or ME3.0. Not until this scheduling issue post update to ME3.7.

Its not a specific charger issue as other users, using other chargers have the same issue on ME3.7.

The software can no longer deal with the situation when the cable is plugged it but on hold due to the chargers schedule.

Aragorn, I am sure you have had issues with charging on Octopus when the Skoda servers are down. If the car can't talk to the Skoda servers then Octopus can't control the charging. Everytime it happens it starts a new thread on this forum with people complaining.

Although it seems to be better a lately. But I will have not noticed as my workaround meant I never needed to worry about it.

I will be sticking with Octopus.

When you use a schedule of 23:30 - 08:00 via car or charger. The charging is still controlled by the smart schedule/ timings that Octopus created. You still get that message from Octopus app and it still stops and starts charging overnight when Octopus deems it best to.

The only difference is you know for a fact as you have control so that it will not start before the night rate starts. So if you plug in at 5pm it deffo won't start till 23:30. With one schedule setup, you plug and forget. No need to remember to manually press STOP.

We all do our own methods. You manually stop the charge, I use a schedule. The fact is you should not need to do either method. But we do as we don't fully trust the setup.

My main issue is Skoda have stopped the option to use a chargers schedule with ME3.7. An issue that did not exist prior to the update.

Yes add a charge location in the car menu.

Then I would turn on one of the preferred charging times. Amend the time to 11:30pm - 08:00am. Leave the other options off.

Once you have do it in the car, you can make amendments to the schedule with the app.

This never worked for me before the update. But it does now.

So we ME3.7 they fixed the cars schedule but removed the option to use a chargers schedule. :D
