Think your right they looked like they were doing all 80’s a while back now it looks like if you ordered a 60 there’s a good chance it’s on it’s way.
I picked up mine this week too, seems theres some hope. Seen news that MG is suspending all EV sales in the UK due to chip shortages so doesnt seem that side of things will improve.
Enyaq 60, Graphite Grey, Tow Bar Prep, Family Pack Basic, Assisted Drive Pack Basic, Parking Pack Basic, Convenience Pack Basic. Cancelled order taken over by me April 2022.

I am insanely jealous - lucky bugger!
How much did he pay? - Everything I've seen is about £6k more than new with around 6-10k miles!
Apologies - his used Enyaq has 12k miles on it. He has paid about £47k for it (got a good deal on his Land Rover trade in to get money off).

80 model all the bells and whistles. Ex display/demonstrator model.

Similar spec to you Mad Marshall.
Fingers crossed we will get ours end of august!
Have been told by the dealer that it can go from order confirmed by factors to being built and shipping quite quickly.

She has predicted end of august in our last email exchange.

Dealer says that there is no build week for my car anymore :D
They hope to get some more info next week.

Now I have a build week 22
Hope to receive the car in June.

Great news. My car is built. Yesterday.
So a week earlier than the assigned build week.

Picking my Enyaq up on Monday after a 10 month wait, couldn’t resist a sneaky peak, as I work next to the dealers

I saw somewhere that if I put in my order number, it could be looked up by Skoda UK and I could get an estimated time of when it would get to the production line! Anyone able to help me with this? Order was placed 30. 01. 2022. Enyaq iv80. Suite model.

My only previous experience of buying a new car was when I ordered a UK spec TT in Germany in 1999. At the time the dealers here were all about "delivery time over 6 months", couldn't give a date, and really hard to even get a test drive, so much the same as I'm seeing here about the Enyaq. When I spoke to the German dealer he thought it was most odd and promised me I'd have a build week within a couple of hours of placing the deposit with a likely delivery of around 6 weeks. In the end it was early but I couldn't collect as I had flights booked. It's not like they make cars at random, they *must* have some sort of order allocation system. All seems bonkers to me. I get that there are setbacks at present with chip/harness shortages etc but there ought to be a sequence of these things through the system that could provide a reasonable prediction of when it will be built.

Fully agree. Having work in a manufacturing dependant company before, the manufacturer will/should know the exact week something is being build even before the order is being taken. Otherwise hells break lose and the company will not last at all.

And in our case, the fact that they have no idea at all what’s and when an order taken 6 months ago that the order is going to be fulfilled is frankly worrying.

What if someone got an accident and need a spare parts? They will have to wait for the stars to drop? :(

Enough ranting. Happy Father’s Day :)
