Hi. I recently had the Enyaq software update and since them the milage range on the car does not match the range shown on my My Skoda app battery charging Tile.
Has anybody had this problem?
Cheers
My Skoda App - Battery Charging Information
I ‘think’ I read that one reports in miles, and the other in kms - but without displaying the correct unit of measure! Something like that, anyway. I’m sure someone who has had the update will be able to confirm.
iV80 Loft, Black, 21” Betria, 125kW, Climate Plus, Asst Drive Basic. Tethered PodPoint. Ordered May 2021. Delivered Nov 2021. Regrettably returned Jan 2024 (Company car. Changed jobs).
My car came with M3.0 (0333) and the range estimate in the car is always pretty close (iv60) 1% ~ 2 miles the way I drive. I did get an estimate of ~230 miles for 100% once.
The app usually agrees, except if there is a comms problem between the car and servers, or when charging has finished, it jumps to 60% of what it should be (i.e. what the car says)
I tried this morning and it seems the minimum action to refresh the app is to unlock the car, and refresh the app until it says the car's unlocked, and the range should then be showing correctly.
(I've been sending bug reports regularly to Skoda about this. They got me to go to the garage to get some components updated, but it didn't fix it.
Apart from that (and I don't find that that much of a problem) I'm really happy with it.

No, Skoda Support's next recommendation was to have a physical component replaced on the car.
The day before it was booked in to my local Skoda dealer, where I bought it, they called me to say they're not qualified to work on the electric drive parts of Enyaqs, and I should see the nearest specialist garage in the group (Marshalls Northampton) which is 50 miles away. For now, it's not bugging me that much that I want to go that far. The workaround is simple enough - refresh the app while in the car - switched on.
It does concern me that I'll have to go that far if I something really serious comes up.

Just occurred to me to ask: did you not see this problem at all before you had the ME3.0 update?

All that needs to be done is to multiply the low distance figure in the app by 1.61, which is the number of kilometres in a mile, and then this figure matches what the car says. Such a shame that the app developers messed up this function.

Obviously, but the trick is in finding where in the code this is not being done when it should. Is it in the car's software, the servers, or the app?
Mostly this is being handled correctly.
