Has anyone stored their umbrella back in the door when wet? Just wandering if it has a drain to allow it to dry or will it get mouldy and smell quickly if not aired?

Never had any issues using them when I had the Skoda Superb. I give it a good shake, back in its sleeve and back in the door storage compartment. Never noticed any smell on subsequent use.

Yes, it has a drain hole - same route out that water that makes it past the window seals goes. Ideally you'd take it out once you get home and let it dry properly, but it's probably fine in the door being damp, it'll dry out gradually.
