Car play using Skoda internet connection rather than my phones

I don't tend to stream music (got about 90GB of music on my phone) so haven't seen this issue, hence not commented. It does seem strange as Carplay is meant to pretty much just be using the car for the user interface and supplementary GPS, not internet connection.

I’m suffering random delayed connection to apple play some update frequently doesn’t connect at all unless I click the logo when green . I will try going offline see if this helps

I tried turning off privacy setting but as on new software I don’t have the incognito function anymore .
But turning off the both privacy settings still didn’t help connection times still random huge delays or not connecting at all

MacDragon is right.

but the smallest change to fix it is to Delete the Wifi entry, like so:

iPhone Settings > Wifi > Edit (top-right corner) > find and delete the entry for Skoda.

I changed iPhone settings so that it will not connect to Skoda wifi. Did not help.
