Booked in for the first available “warranty assessment” appointment my local dealer has at the end of February to investigate the 12V issues everyone else is having as well as the non-functioning passenger heated seat….
It’s been in to another dealer (Swindon) in December to look at the 12V issue. The receptionist said I couldn’t talk to the technician to explain the problem in detail as he was too busy. Got a one line report after two days with them telling me there was nothing wrong with the battery, the issue was my dash cam drawing power from the USB C which seems to be an inactive power source when the car is locked as far as I can see. The same dash cam has never caused a problem in two previous cars. Unplugging it has made no difference….
Passenger heated seat not working
Funny that, my car went in for the passenger heated seat not working and I also had them look at the 12V vbattery issue. They also said the battery showed no fault. Since then the 12V battery issue has got progressively worse (even though I've charged it) - its now at the point where it's pointless having the app (particularly as I can never pre-heat remotely) and I get a 12V battery restricted message whenever I drive the car now. It's booked in again at the end of Jan - the earliest they could get me in!
Mine’s booked in for 20th Jan for the 12V battery issue, which gets worse every day, and the heated passenger seat which stopped working yesterday. I’m not holding my breath, but as it’s a lease car through my employer’s EV scheme, at least I’ll get a courtesy car for free.
