When I got to the car in the afternoon, the keyless entry didn't work (I had to press the button on the key), so I was curious about the condition of the 12V battery. I connected the OBD2 adapter and the 12V battery had only 54% SoC. Interesting...
That is interesting.

I have only been capturing 12V battery state of charge data since December 2023. There is generally some delay between the car finishing charging and the data being captured. The recorded 12V SoC has only been below 70% 4 times, 2 were in December 2023 and one was in January 2024. The last one was in December 2024 when the charging finished at 04:00 but I did not record the data until 11 hours later by which time it had dropped to 66%. Most of the time the 12V SoC has been above 85% and generally it has been above 90% when it was recorded. I have not analysed the data so far to understand the pattern, however at the times that I have taken the data shortly after the charge has completed the SoC has been in the high 90's.

I double lock the car with the key and by touching the handle so keyless locking is disabled when I am at home so I do not have information about the 12V SoC at which it stops working, however the car does disable some services and the app displays the following message when it has dropped to around 60% and the functions are not re-enabled until the 12V battery reaches 50% SoC and the DC to DC converter starts charging it. It seems likely that the keyless entry would be disabled at the same time.

This message seems to have replaced the battery protection limit message in the app as I have not received them for a couple of months. I have never received a push message about either condition.

When I was going to work, I drove at least 2x15km every day, so I didn't have to notice the 12V battery at all. But now I'm retired and sometimes I don't drive for 4-5 days, so I'll have to notice the 12V battery more, especially in the winter.

just or the record: since the car was locked, the situation has been getting worse. Now, I receive a low 12-volt battery warning if the car is open for just a few minutes. This happens regardless of the main battery's charge level, whether it's 100 percent, 65, etc. As soon as I open the car and while the three kids are getting settled, I get a notification in the app. Due to holidays and plans, I haven't been able to arrange a service visit yet. I'm currently in touch with my leasing company and will update based on the outcome.
