Hello all. I've taken delivery of a second hand enyaq in the last few days. Very pleased with it, but it's missing a few features and I wondered if anyone has any experience of asking a dealer to retrofit items - is this something they would do? The features I'd like to add are:
- drive modes
- heated seats
- reversing camera

Thanks!

I suspect it would be cheaper to p/x your car for one with the features fitted, if even possible. The wiring loom for example will be bespoke to your cars spec as all built for the car they are going into.

You can get after market reverse cam fitted easily. Drive modes should be available to ALL Enyaq. You select eco/normal/sport/custom. In all fairness they make no difference to the car’s performance other than eco which limits the power output.

The heated seat is an interesting one. Agains I thought that was a standard equipment as it’s one of those Skoda touted as energy saving feature.

No drive modes here. Also fairly certain I had to spec for heated seats.

Advanced In-Car Technologies in Poole do some retrofits on Enyaqs, including reversing camera and front sensors, electronic boot, etc, with all OEM parts. They have a YouTube channel detailing their retrofits. Pricey, but looks quality installation.

Here's their reverse camera on the Enyaq:

There's also this German site which sells retrofit items if you're up for a bit of DIY!! https://www.kufatec.com/en/listing/inde ... y/1671?p=2

Thanks all for your responses. Does anyone know of retrofitters in the Newcastle upon Tyne area?

Ensure that your Enyaq model is compatible with the features you want to add. Some features, like drive modes, might require specific hardware or software that your vehicle may or may not have.

Hi, I had heated seats retrofitted by the guys at Beadles Skoda, but they are in Southend on Sea!
So, it can be done - although it’s not a software based solution, I have mini switches on the seat side covers, two heat settings. Does the job just fine.

Yes you can add heated seats really easily.
There are a couple ways to do this.
You can take it to a local car specialist in mods.
There's a good company called ADVANCED In car technologies based in Poole

That's there youtube channel

The Website

If you want to do it super cheap then it's easy to do it yourself. As long as you have a little bit of skill in wire things.
You can buy a seat set for £20 there abouts. Its a basicset up with on off, it comes with the bum part and the lower back part and wiring to link in with its own switch. This is per seat btw This will be linked into wiring in already in the car or into the fuse box similarly to how you would fit a hard wired dash cam.
You can get better 1s that have different heat settings, low medium and hot.

Then you can buy a better quality heated seat set. Or even a set to wire up to the car as if it was factory fitted. This will be alot more expensive though. You might even have to get the thing programmed in.

So depending on how much you're willing to spend and what your expectations are in having a heated seat. If its just for you on the drivers side an you want a basic heated seat then the easiest option is a cheap set, drill a hole in where you want the switch located an then wire into power it an that's it.

If you want it on all seats and a factory fitted lok then get it done by a company I mentioned.

As others have said, if you want a range of features it may well be better looking for a car with it factory standard.

I think most wiring looms are all the same when factory fitted, they just have additional clips for adding at a later date. It just depends on the car, year a spec as its more cost effective for companies to have a standard loom then have the connections for more features.

Good Luck man, keep us posted
