When u turn it off it resets automatically the next time I start the car. Any ideas.
No. It's a mandatory safety system. So it must be enabled when the car is started (like ABS, traction control etc). You can turn it off each time, but as you can't guarantee you'll be the person who drives it next it must enable itself when the car is turned off and back on again.
Enyaq iV 80 Sportline, Energy Blue, Assisted Drive Plus, Infotainment Plus, Convenience Plus, Comfort Seat Plus, Transport Pack, Heat Pump, ME3.2. Delivered Nov 2021.

Anyone else find that the button on the RH side of the steering wheel doesnt turn it off? I have to turn it off in the menu, not ideal whilst driving.
The button does however seem to turn it back on if it it set to off.

Looks like you can turn off Lane Assist if you have an OBDeleven dongle. You can set an option to remember your last setting, so if you turn it off via the Infotainment, it will remain off thereafter until you turn it back on again. Haven't confirmed this works but seen it mentioned a few places.
I will check this later; my right hand button appears to have no effect on anything but I will see if it turns it on, after manually deactivating in the menu.
