TLDR - if your Enyaq won’t charge after a software update, try a short charge on a DC charger - it might just fix it.

My 2023 Enyaq 80 received the over-the-air software update 3.2 → 3.7 just over a week ago, followed by a subsequent (un-numbered) update a few days later.

The updates went OK, and didn't seem to make any huge difference to how the car drives or to the user interface. May an odd thing here or there, but I haven't found anything useful to me yet. Generally I was at least happy it didn't brick my car.

... but then it wouldn't charge ...

The car would recognise the charger, but gave the following error:
Please follow instructions on the charging station or use different station
The AC charger (Easee One) has always been flawless. I don't use any schedules on the car or charger - just plug in and it charges. It was reporting waiting for a the car to allow charging.

I tried:
- unplugging and re-plugging charger (multiple times)
- locking and unlocking car (multiple times)
- rebooting charger
- driving around for a bit
- different cable
- checking car and charger for schedules that might have accidentally enabled
- pulling fuse 3 and waiting 10 minutes before putting it back
- using the 🔧 button in the car (which connects you to the AA) but they couldn't help

Nothing I tried worked. So I resigned myself to a visit to the Skoda garage. The next morning I repeated what I'd tried the day before (except the AA) and set off. I decided to try a public DC fast charger on the off chance that my Easee One was faulty. Mainly because it was almost opposite the Skoda garage.

And it charged fine! And has charged fine on DC, AC, and granny ever since.

Thanks for sharing, definitely one to try if I need to (assuming my car will eventually upgrade to 3.7!)
