I have an 85 Edition.
I have found recently that the keyless unlocking is not working.
When I leave the car, the key fob is blinking nicely - and I could unlock at this stage no problem.
I find that if I then take the keyfob away from the car, it stops blinking - which is what you'd expect once it goes out of range. If i walk back into range it blinks again.
However, if I go away for a long time then when I return to the the key fob is not blinking and it won't unlock until I blip the remote. Usually i need to open the door of the car for the light to start blinking again.
I have tried replacing fob battery and I have tried turning KESSY off, but I think it is related to the car - not the fob.
It is like the car shuts down if you leave it for too long and in order to fire it up again, you need to unlock it and open the door.
Anyone has any ideas pls, before I call Skoda?
Thank you!
KESSY / Keyless Opening Not Working
This is likely related to the 12v battery issue lots of 85 owners are experiencing. When the 12v battery is in a low state of charge, certain things are shutdown to save power.
Some members have had their 12v battery changed and this has resolved the problems but it’s not clear whether there is an underlying cause of the battery going bad prematurely or it was just a duff batch of 12v batteries.
Either way it will need your dealer to fix it.

One common thing at this time of year that can cause this behaviour is a low 12V battery. Most cold mornings I have to use the fob rather than the handle. Generally you'll find the car shuts down its internet connection too when this happens. However - this might just be something on older Enyaqs like my 2021 model.
I would have said that you'd accidentally disabled the handle sensor (by pressing the inside of the handle just before locking with the outside of the handle) - but you said that it does unlock if you don't go out of range, so it's probably not that.
