Hello,
I'm new to the forum but have been reading it for the past few weeks in prep for my car arriving, a big thanks to all who contribute, I've found a load of useful info in here.
Took delivery of my lease 85 today, not had much time with it however the experience is somewhat marred by a couple of issues, which appear to be quite common.
I can't login on the vehicle, I follow the prompts, try via the barcode and app, via the barcode alone scanned via camera which takes you to the same login page as the app directs you to, via password, every route fails with "sorry something went wrong, you are driving as a guest". I've tried over WiFi and over the inbuilt connection which is showing as plenty of signal. I've reinstalled the myskoda app on android (although I don't believe that's the problem). I've seen reference to the service being down previously but nothing to suggest it's currently down. Software is version 4, no updates are available.
Another problem is the Bluetooth connection to my iPhone 12. It's connected, I know that because it shows as connected, it's streaming music successfully and it's set up for calls, but if I try and place a call it tells me that there's no phone connected.
There are other niggles but nothing serious yet, my wife changed the voice of Laura from female to male and now it wont change back (pressing the female option does nothing), other glitchy things when navigating through the infotainment. In terms of driving I drove past a skewed 20 sign at the side of the road (that was for the side road but visible from the main road) and the car started slowing down, but I've read in the forum how to turn that function off. The adaptive headlights seem somewhat hit and miss, I've been flashed a couple of times by oncoming traffic as it's reacted too slowly to vary the beam in time, so I'll likely just not use that.
Re the infotainment glitches the only thing I haven't done is a full factory reset, when I do that it tells me that the main user (which is set up as "fleet maintenance" - presumably by the supplying dealer) will be deleted and they'll be informed by email, so I could press that but it seems a little extreme.
Has anyone any suggestion before I call the dealer?
Thanks
First day with new car, login problems etc
Sorry to hear your frustrations, but I feel your pain, got my 85 Edition (lease) back in August, whilst collecting it at the dealership, got my phone out UleFone Armor 6 of three years vintage, it would not even load the Skoda app, or the Skoda Essentials app, so I drove the car around for 10 days no problem until I got a new phone Samsung Galaxy A15, rather than use the tiny QR code next to the Vin, I entered the full vin number directly.
After that all worked fine, My Skoda app is version 7.5.0, the car Software version is 4.1 off course my new phone does not support wireless charging which is a drag, but not a biggy.
This is my first ever EV, and I did not even bother with a test drive before ordering, first drive was on the day of collection, the car has far exceeded my expectations, in a word it's brilliant.

I can login this morning, so it must have been a server problem. The phone has also started placing calls! I did nothing different. Currently trying to work out how to turn off whatever perimeter detection/thinks-I'm-parking option is turned on which means that every time I roll up to a queue of traffic it cuts the radio, shows the radar and starts the audio bonging, I'm not parking, I'm driving!
I've already figured out how to turn off the augmented as I really really don't need it to draw a green line under the car in front.
Getting there

This can be handy if you're on a multi-lane road with poor lane markings that goes round a tight corner with ACC/Travel Assist on. The car may switch to maintaining distance from a car in the next lane (because it's got no way of telling which lane anything is in, and it's now straight ahead of you). Without the line on the HUD you have no way of knowing until the car starts getting too close to the car that is in front in your lane and you may have to intervene. Once the curve straightens out it'll switch back to the correct lane. It's not massive, but it's a useful feature to have to give more information about what the automated systems are doing.

Tha na Aragorn that's interesting, this seems to activate from about 8-10 feet away, and if I'm queueing at traffic lights and something drives past on the inside lane it activates, I'll have a proper dig around for any distance tolerance settings
