Offline manual generator

We're due to pick up our Enyaq soon, and I was surprised to find that no offline manual is available (beyond the '21 PDF that someone managed to grab back then). I figured "how hard can it be", and sat down for an afternoon to put together a little script that builds a big file from all the small sections you can read online.

As a result, I now have a (semi) nice PDF and EPUB version of my manual, ready for offline reading, browsing and searching at my leasure

If you'd like to try to create one yourself, I've tried to document the process here:

You'll need some basic command-line tools that should come with most Linux distributions, and a bit of Cookie-grabbing from your web browser.

I'd rather not share the resulting PDF directly here, as it's probably copyrighted But let me know if you'd like create your own version and need help.

I just bought and downloaded the pdf workshop manual. In two or three minutes I had it on my computer. The download failed the first time, but it went through without problems the second time (218 MB packed, you have 10 attempts). It is an original pdf with links, no scan. It costs only EUR 8.99.

In my humble opinion, riki1's links to old manuals are not helpful here.

jypma's approach should be really useful. I haven't managed to run the script successfully yet (currently stuck at './skoda.sh: line 89: /tmp/toc.json: Permission denied') but this is likely to be incompetence due to my lack of familiarity with Unix.

Thanks for trying! Please let me know if you'd like any help, or describe what you've tried in a Github ticket.

As for the usefulness, I actually expected the online manual to potentially be more up-to-date with new software releases and/or errata. But I've yet to find a single difference between the 2021 PDF and what's online, so maybe the need isn't as large as I originally thought
