All that button does on mine is to give the option of selecting speed limiter instead of acc. If I select it the car will not exceed the set speed and you manually have to maintain speed along road. It won’t stay selected either, have to reselect every time after re-engaging acc and switch to it

Could those with it not activating by either pressing the button (normal for ME2.x) or pulling the stalk (normal for ME3.2, possibly ME3.0, ME3.1 but maybe not ME3.5) please post what software version they have so we can see if there’s a pattern?

Possibly worth getting data for those where it does work and also details of related options installed in order to see the full pattern?
Mine does engage when pulling the stalk. Car completed build 5th May 2023. System information shows hardware H30 and software 1701. Assisted Drive Package Plus (includes lane assist plus, with narrow lane assist) option installed.

I believe I was on ME3.2 when it was delivered this January, however car does not have the additional side sensors for automated parking or lane change. Car system info indicates Hardware H20 and Software 0561. I had the assisted drive plus option.

RallimG - so yours is very similar to mine, Energy Blue Sportline, no side sensors, Assisted Drive Plus, ME3.2 :D I ordered mine in August 21, but as I didn't have Family Pack, I got it only a couple of months later (that was the holdup back then). So in theory it should behave the same as mine does.

For me, pressing the button on the steering wheel (top right) selects Travel Assist or normal ACC. With that set to TA, pulling the lever engages TA, even after switching the car off and on again. I've not needed to touch the steering wheel button since (though as it used to turn TA on when I had ME2.6, I still occasionally press it by accident).

All that button does on mine is allow to select between acc or speed limiter.
I have tried speed limiter but can’t see any practical use for it. I use acc to control speed.
Speed limiter seems to switch back to acc anyway after braking?

Yes I went wild with the options and max'd out my car allowance as there was no need to offset the huge 'benefits in kind tax' that I was previously paying on my diesel.... but it cost delivery time!!! :-D

No retention of the TA on mine, flick the stalk of and back on it defaults to normal ACC. Out of interest is yours remembering what it was last set to, ie if you set it ACC and flick the lever off and on again is the ACC active?

Yes - I turned TA on about 5 minutes after leaving the dealership after the ME3.2 update, and every time I pull the lever, TA activates. If I set it to ACC, then it only activates ACC.

Very odd. Next time I'm in the car (this evening), I'll make a note of what things are set to if I can.

That’s what the button on the left does for me. The button to the right of that one switches between ACC and TA.

And mine was delivered in April 23, so same technology, same software version.

But mine is set to travel assist and never comes out of it (except when I'm needing around with the settings). I pull the stalk, and off it goes. I have the HUD too, which is great for seeing when the lines can be detected, but presumably that doesn't make any difference?
