New car delivery times

Glad to hear Enyaqs are making it through at a much better rate now but can I ask for those who have got delivery dates and taken delivery? Have you chased the whereabouts or Have you been contacted by the dealer?

I ordered enyaq coupe 85x Jan 24.Was told delivery June 24.
I had to send emails to get response then told July 24.
Had to chase again for update now told August 24.
Had not contact unless I initiated.

The lack of comms from dealerships appears to be an enduring theme.

I have had to instigate contact with the dealer to glean any info on my order, the build week query and then "has it actually been built?"

And we know the answer to that. I am to await the answer to the email that has been sent and might hear next week.

This is a big deal for me, coming from a succession of (5) ICE Eco Blu dervs to a swanky EV Coupe.

I think they'd only have contacted me once it arrived and was ready, but I emailed every couple of weeks for an update. Skoda should just open up the tracker to customers, would save time and let us check when we wanted!

I dealt with 2 or 3 dealerships when I first started looking and without exception they were dreadful. My initial thoughts were either a PCP or lease arrangement through a local dealer, I prefer to deal face to face, but the service was so bad it drove me in another direction. I then ordered direct with a lease company and they have been fine, keeping me up to date with the car’s progress through the system.

Whether it is the fairly new ‘buy direct from Škoda’ system’ I don’t know but Škoda dealerships, based on my experience, display a collective couldn’t care less attitude. Skoda are just fortunate that I like the car so much or, based on service, I would have been buying a different make of car.

Ordered 85x in January - and the car is now built. It took 5 month and expected delivery is in another 4 weeks...

My car was built week 20. Was at Emden port for a while. Dealer told me on the 20th, 'she's on a ship!'. I'm guessing now sitting at a UK port or maybe on the way to the dealer. In summary, a very, very slow and rather opaque process. I hope I get by next week, as I've a long road trip planned. Keep filling my current diesel Volvo up for £20, hoping it'll be the last time!

After last week's disappointment, the dealership called to tell that my Enyaq Coupe 85 Edition is in fact built, and is in The Port of Emden and they expect it in the next couple of weeks.

The Ohme Home Pro was installed in early May so all I need do now is switch from British Gas to a better dual fuel and EV tariff, likely Intelligent Octopus Go and review the new car checklist that has kindly been posted on another thread.
