New car delivery times

I’m currently at 38 weeks since I ordered mate, still no idea what’s happening.

My car is stuck at UK port (I’m guessing Grimsby as live in North Wales), 14 days and counting……….. so much for 7-10 day turn around time for transport companies! Dealer doesn’t have a clue when it will arrive. You would think Skoda would have some sort of link with the transport company to find out when cars are loaded and expected etc?

Just called the dealer this morning and was told the car was built (Enyaq 85 edition lounge). I've been told to expect delivery in about 5 weeks which will make it about 7 months from order to delivery. Fingers crossed .

Mine has been 8 weeks and counting since build. It made it to the UK in 6 weeks, but sat now at the port for 2 weeks. Dealer says they don’t know when cars will arrive, until they literally turn up at the dealership. I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you though. Some people seem to get them lightning fast, others orders seem to go on for ever.

Yay - call from dealer, car has finally arrived, as it’s through Motability they want it registered as a 74 plate so can’t have it until 1st September. At least I have a solid date to work with though, its been an epic wait.

I ordered an Enyaq 85x SportLine Plus (Estate) on the Motability scheme on 13th June from Pulman but have heard nothing from the dealer since - although I guess this is expected at this stage? Not really sure as I wasn't given any information at all, but have received paperwork from Motability to at least confirm the car has actually been ordered.

I was quoted 6 months with expected delivery around Xmas. Should I expect to hear from Pulman with regards to timings - when build week is expected etc? I'm not really savvy with the workings of dealerships and manufacturing, but I've never had to wait more than 3-4 months for a new Motability car so this feels like a hefty wait time.

Chased our dealer today having not heard anything since we ordered.

Got told our car is due to complete build by September 22nd (week 38) and that it should be with the dealership by the end of October.

So that's approximately 4 months from time of order. Hopefully it follows that timeline!

Salesman emailed me this week to say that they had an unconfirmed build date of week 39 in Sept and he suggested that would be a delivery of mid November, which is an improvement of the Eearly/mid December, worst case scenario January 25 he told me on day i ordered

feel for you as similar happened to me where my car was going to be handed over on 14th August but didn't have the options so the dealer had to reorder. Hopefully your reorder gets done quickly

I had the same problem. I went to pick up the car in April but rather than an 85 Edition it was a basic 85 (in theory not sold in the UK). I was told that a reorder would take until December but that there was a car due for production that met the specification I wanted albeit in a different colour. I'm due to collect the car next week so fingers crossed.
