New car delivery times

How long have people waited before they get build dates? I'm pretty early on in the process, having only ordered my 85x at the end of April, but I was just wondering?

I placed my order for an Enyaq Coupe 85 Edition, (no extra Packs), with Marshalls, Harlow on 10th April 2024 with a projected delivery September. Ish.

I was advised that a build week would be known a month post order and was told my allocated build week would be Week 26, or week commencing 16th June.

We shall see.

I asked about delivery times in general and how builds were arranged and was told that everything is made by strict 'date of order placed'.

My son works in Prague and like you all, knows that Mladá Boleslav, NE of Prague is Skoda's Enyaq? car plant and Emden Auto Port is where they are shipped to 3 UK receiving ports, Tyne, Grimsby and Sheerness. Depending on where the dealership located dictates the arrival port eg,. my Coupe will arrive at Sheerness.

I am so nerdy that I will use the marine shipping app to track the cars journey from Emden once it leaves the factory gates

Skoda UK tell me that their auto shipping fleet is Top Secret and cannot possibly disclose the any names of their ships, so it's likely to be a game of deduction and elimination.

I have though read on here that it is not unknown for cars sit at Emden inexplicably awaiting sailing for weeks on end.

It took me about a month to get my build week.

P.S. I've ordered the exact same spec as you! Ordered 1st Feb and had wk20 (last week) so hoping my car is leaving the factory soon!

Thanks for that, fingers crossed you will get it soon!! It would be nice to get a build date (I know its an estimate date) but would be nice lol

I have just been told my car has been released for shipping. As far as I can tell it’s been at the port since April 10th.

My original order was placed mid December
The car was build week 12 - (march 18th)

So it looks like :
build delay was 3-4 months.
time from build to port3 weeks
time from port to shipping 4-5 weeks

I’ve had an email from the dealer today to say that mine has arrived and they can deliver it on 28th May or later that week. Sportline 85X with Maxx pack, sunroof, heat pump and Supernova wheels, ordered on 19th December. The last update prior to this was on 24th April to say it was at the port of Emden.

Now received confirmation of a delivery date of 31st May for mine. So just over 5 months from order to delivery.

Finally took delivery of ours on Friday - ordered early November, and arrived at the dealership last week. So far, so good. We both love the car. Still trying to get to grips with all the tech, but have the basics all working.

Just orderded a enyaq 85 suite with maxx pack in black, already built and sitting on the docks in Germany, 2-3 weeks quoted delivey

We ordered our Enyaq 85 on Monday 20th May 2024 with the only customisation being the Arctic Silver metallic paint option and have been informed that there is a 26 week lead time.

Just had an update that mine is built and on it's way. Hopefully doesn't get stuck at the port!

Hi guys. I brought my enyaq coupe on 25th of April, but still not heard about a build date yet. Its been over a month now. Is that normal ?
I know order taken from factory has been taken.
