Hi one and all,

Just thought I would say hello and introduce myself I'm 53 and registered disabled. my name is Peter, Sandie is my fiancé and we have 2 furbabies, Millie a 3 1/2 yo dbsh Calico and Mollie a 18 mo dbsh tortie.(Domestic British Short Hair)
I currently have a 2022 Peugeot 5008 GT premium 1.2 petrol 3 cylinder 131 BHP which was top of the range at the time (in Celebes blue a beautiful petrol like colour) which met our requirements (mainly needed a huge boot with my scooter/walker ect) and medical stuff, incontinence pants, pads, catheters change of clothes blah blah (it's like having 2 young babies with all my stuff hehe) and after being very disappointed with the new E5008 and the massive price point almost 56k and 5k advance payment (the boot is now alot smaller, higher loading which is no good for me and awful driving seat for me a overally high floor which means I cannot get in and out easier and my god caused.me alot of pain oh and the DT model doesn't even have a electric adjustable drivers seat for almost 60 thousand pounds !!! We decided to go for a Skoda enyaq 85x sportline plus in graphite grey with the silver nicer wheels as they show more of the discs and look alot nicer I think, transport pack to make lowering the seats alot easier and a ceramic coating pack / interior treatment pack to protect our enyaq
Due for build this week and delivery hopefully by the end of the month as well as a adaptation by brigaid for the push/pull acceleration and braking on the steering wheel and a quick release ball on the wheel so to help with steering. As I am registered disabled with a ultra rare auto immune condition as well as a severe gait and other problems, a tube in my stomach permanently 24-7 so I need to be comfortable as sitting is a real issue. We were very pleased with the car when we took it for a test drive (insane acceleration and that was B4 I realised we were not in sport mode. We are buying from the main dealer in Bridgewater the guy I was dealing with left so we are now dealing with a nice lady. Bit gutted to learn the model is already being replaced B4 I even get mine, as well as to learn the as from march 2025 HUD and a clarion stereo comes as standard. A bit of a bummer but there you go.
Really looking in getting the car, my home charger survey is due tomorrow all being well.
As most of you on here are either 1st or more owners is there anything I should be aware of before taking delivery or afterwards, on the motability scheme everything is covered, VED, servicing, insurance fully comprehensive for Upto 3 people full breakdown cover, tyres, courtesy car and a cuddly toy (perhaps) ??.
The scheme is incredible and I have nothing but praise for the whole thing. Yes it's a 2400 advance payment but it's almost 55k with the adaptations so we'll well worth it and gives me and Sandie a huge price of mind.

Oh one thing has anyone purchased/used researched getting a 13amp 3kw 240v granny cable which is 25 metres or ideally 30 metres long that I can occasionally use at my grandfather's house to keep my enyaq topped up healthy? And if anyone has any information would be very gratefully received many thanks

Kind regards

Peter Sandie and the furbabies

Ps sorry if it's a long 1st hello, it's taken me almost 2 hours to write this and check it as I get the shakes (not milk ones BTW) 😂 HAHA

Hello and welcome. I have just picked up my Enyak and it has acres of space. I also drive with steering ball and push/pull hand controls. I have every confidence you will enjoy when it arrives.

Hiyas thanks for the reply,.you are going to notice quite a acceleration performance boost going from a 60 to a 85x I couldn't believe how quick they are, you are easily in much more expensive large petrol or high performance bi-turbo diesel cars eg AMG mercedes or sportline / quattro Audi's. I was looking for 6 seconds 0to60 cars which I am led to believe the 85x is closer to after watching alot of online vids. It's the acceleration you need these days not the top speed. Especially in the south west getting stuck behind tractors and caravans alot hehe. Do like the coupe but need more boot access height and also my advance payment was 500 quid more. Needed the hand control disability adaptations for my condition as is very uncomfortable to use my right foot to brake and accelerate and I get very fatigued using my foot . I can only drive about a hundred miles maximum before I get alot of pain and discomfort.
Really hope you love your new enyaq coupé they look amazing.

Hiyas Fatman,

Thanks for the message, hope you're ok and your car is great.

I haven't collected her yet, she was being built on the 27th of January so hopefully built by now and on her way in the next couple of weeks, when she arrives she will need to have the adaptations fitted (push pull acceleration and braking and steering ball) as my right leg can't fully straighten which means it's better to use the hand controls , did like the race blue veryuch but my wife has a 2016 Peugeot 208 in blue and my current 5008 GT premium is in Celebes blue so thought mmm the graphite grey looks very executive and smart also hopefully won't show the road dirt as much also, just need to get the private plates back on when the new baby is ready to be collected, I will post pictures when I collect her from the main dealers soon.

Regards
