Remote Controls Disabled & Low 12V Battery Message – Software Issue?
My 2024 Enyaq 85x Sportplus has only done about 1,500 miles, but none of the remote controls are working. The MySkoda app shows a message saying remote controls are disabled due to a low auxiliary 12V battery. Charging and driving the car hasn’t resolved the issue. Recently, the passenger heated seat also stopped working for a few days. The dealer fixed it, explaining there was no voltage in the seat’s heating element. I’m taking the car back to the dealer to address the remote control problem. Could this be a software issue rather than a 12V battery issue?
You have several known issues here.
Firstly the rubbish 12V batteries being fitted since about 2023 - they really lose voltage when it's cold. You'll probably find it's trouble free in the summer like the old batteries fitted to 2020-2022 Enyaqs. Hopefully they'll do a recall at some point.
The passenger heated seat issue seems to be not uncommon and may be a disconnected plug in the wiring loom. Seems to have affected a batch of cars made in mid-late 2024.
Remote access relies on the car having a good internet connection. This is dependent on it having a good mobile (Vodafone I think) 4G connection. And that is reliant on the car not disabling the mobile interface, which it does if the signal is very low (it retries once or twice every 24 hours) to save battery power - eg if parked in an underground carpark. Also if the 12V battery is low, it'll disable non-essential things such as the mobile interface. You can tell if it has because when you get in the car, the signal strength indicator will show zero (red cross) for a few minutes until it acquires a connection. You can usually force it to restart the mobile interface if it's gone into low signal mode by pulling fuse 19 (do a search for 'fuse 19', and you'll find loads of posts with photos on this from 3 years ago).

I have had a few periods this winter when remote access has been disabled, following 1 "Battery Protection Limit" exceded in the early winter. The behaviour has changed since the previous winter when all equivalent events were due to the "Battery Protection Limit". There were no problems in the period March to October. On my car, at least on SW version 3.5 with some low level module uptates in place since last November, the remote access blocking occurs when the 49 ampere hour (lower capacity than I had expected) 12 V battery fitted drops to about 60% state of charge. The threshold may not be fixed. I have had slightly different results which suggest that the threshold is higher when the temperature is lower, in which case the problem may be more common in colder areas. In my tests the car starts to charge the 12V battery from the HV battery once the state of charge drops to 50% and continues to charge it up to 90%. As soon as it starts charging, remote control is reactivated. I have not checked the behaviour since updating to SW version 3.7 in the last week. In principle charging or driving the car should charge the 12 V battery and clear the problem, however last winter there were a few times when the Battery Protection limit problem did not clear, even after driving the car in good mobile signal areas for 30 minutes, but it was OK the next day after charging the car.
I live in an area where the mobile signal is low and fairly variable. Home Assistant log show that there are fairly frequently short periods where it is not possible to get Enyaq data, however, so far, these have not coincided with remote access disabled messages in the app. It may be different in areas where the signal strength is lower.
If you have correct car details shown in the MySkoda app but persistent "Remote Access Disabled" I think it would be worth trying resetting the communications system by pulling the fuse as sggested by RichR, but there may be a defect that needs dealer attentiion.

Has anyone managed to get Skoda to replace the 12V battery to fix the low battery issue? It's driving me crazy.
You may or may not want to try it but I had the passenger heated seat issue and solved it by disconnecting fuse 7 and 30 for a couple mins and reconnecting - not sure which solved it, probably 30 as it seemed like a software issue.
Stupid to have to do this on a £50k car

Skoda Enyaq 85x Sportline Plus +Advanced Package Race blue..The software version is 4.1
Skoda changed my 12v battery to a 12v gel battery....but they also made som update to the software so the car would know what kind of 12v battery that is installed. So perhaps it's not so easy to change it yourself...fatman wrote: ↑Mon Jan 20, 2025 8:36 pmwhat type battries for enyaq is best .i am thinking to buy one ....skoda dealers not much help.DanOx wrote: ↑Mon Jan 20, 2025 5:50 pm Has anyone managed to get Skoda to replace the 12V battery to fix the low battery issue? My car has already been booked into the dealers for 28th Jan (earliest they could get me in when I booked in December!) for this issue and it keeps getting worse. Originally the remote app message and the occasional warning on the dash of restricted 12V supply. Now I NEVER can remotely access through the app, the welcome lights don't operate, when I get in the car I get an immediate dash message "Error in 12V supply, visit workshop" and when I get this it appears my heated seats don't work nor the rear window demister.
I would add I've prevuously tried charging the 12V as suggested by the dealership - within 10 mins I got the remote app message and when i drove the car around 30 mins later I got the "restricted 12V supply" on the dash.
I'm very much hoping they swap the battery on my next visit.
