Hi all… occasionally I need to charge over 80% but the car won’t do this, certainty not overnight with Octopus. I’ve checked Octopus and the car itself and have am expected charge and charge limit of 100% respectively.
Any advice welcome!
Won’t charge over 80%!
Check what limit is set on the charging screen in the car. I've seen it several times where the app will say you've set 100%, but it's still set at 80% in the car itself. If you have Battery Care enabled, it's reset to 80% unless you change it before locking the car too.

This is a bit more complicated than at first it appears (isn't everything?
)
There are two settings in the car which you need to have set before you start if you want to charge overnight to anything over 80% with IO.
1) your charge limit
2) battery care mode to off.
@Richr is correct.
What happens with IO is that you get a charging schedule, say, 3 separate slots.
You set your charge limit to 100% but as soon as the first slot is finished, battery care mode jumps in and if it's on, it sets the charge limit back to 80%, so the 2nd and 3rd slots see a charge limit of 80%.
If you got a single slot in your schedule, it wouldn't matter, but because 99% of the time you get multiple slots, it does matter.

Indeed - I prefer to have Battery Care set to off, and manage the level manually. I can see where it would be useful for some people, but if you do the majority of charging at home using something like IO, it's probably not needed.

I must just be very lucky and have none of these issues.
In car and app both set to 100%, no locations and no schedules on the car or app.
Battery care is off and never turns on by itself although I do have a constant notification in the car about turning it on
At home limit is dictated by the Octopus app, 80% for normal or 100% prior to a long journey.
DC charging limit is controlled by when we finish our lunch etc.
All works before and since the 3.7 update

I don't use battery care mode. Normally the car is set to charge immediately to 100% and I rely on Octopus to control the amount of charge. I sometimes set a lower limit when using public rapid charging and do not need/want to have a higher level. I normally set it back to 100% afterwards. There has only been one time when the car did not charge above 80% when set on Octopus and the problem was not caused by me forgetting to set the car limit back to 100%. That time the car showed the limit as 100% but the app showed the limit as 80%. Changing the setting in the app appeared to clear the problem and it has not recurred, although checking the app is now part of my routine.

Very good point. Only causes unnecessary grief.
