Map location when using CarPlay is sometimes incorrect

Is anybody seeing issues with their location being incorrect when using their iPhone with the Enyaq via wireless CarPlay?

This doesn't happen all the time but frequently enough to be a pain if you're trying to navigate somewhere using the map app on the phone. Using the phone by itself is ok if when it's disconnected from CarPlay.

From what I can gather doing some googling, when the phone connects using CarPlay, it will use the car's GPS rather than the phone's GPS, or some combination of the 2, and it's this scenario that seems to throw the location off, often by miles.

The dealership has just done a software update on the car but that's made no difference.

Strange this is that this used to work perfectly and it's only started playing up in the last few months.

Perhaps the problem is more general than just happening on the Enyaq.
