Phone pairs each time I enter the car

Hi,
I was using Android Auto flawlessly before updating to 3.0. Since the update I can pair car with my phone, Android Auto and contacts work, but when I leave and enter the car it loses eventing, asks for pairing pin confirmation again and I have to set up Android auto and contacts from scratch. Each time I get to the car.
Anyone had similar issue? I tried factory reset in the car, didn't help.
Phone is Pixel 5 with Android 13, as I said, before the update it was working without any issues.

I've only ever had 3.1. Android Auto has worked fine, wirelessly, from day one. However the Bluetooth phone connection so that the car (rather than AA) can access my phone book etc keeps needing to be allowed on the phone and reimported again in the car. Connecting for phone calls seems fine though, so I'm assuming it's just Android removing privileges as it likes to do.

So your upgraded to 3.0 experience sounds very different from my 3.1 from factor experience.

I have a pixel 6.
