The bottom cap has a ‘right way up’. The wrong way makes it hard to fit an AC plug. Are you sure this wasn’t the issue?

I’m sure. It’s like the outer plastic on the Hyundai plug has 2mm excess at the bottom meaning it doesn’t sit flush unless you remove the cap. Strange because it’s supposed to be a generic plug for a reason but I bet Hyundai has just decided to be awkward.

I have the same message "Only emergency charging is possible. Please consult vehicle wallet." and my enyaq is charging at 1kwh only. Anyone know what the problem is likely to be? Interestingly, whereas previously the charging cable would 'lock' into the car during charging (when the car was locked), it now no longer does. Possibly the two things are connected?

I've experimented with different chargers and get the same message, so feeling confident it's got nothing to do with Ohme.
