Re: Charging en route (Hindsight!)
Correct - WLTP figures are meant for comparing cars rather than an indication of expected real world range. All cars can exceed WLTP figures under ideal conditions - for example if you started at the top of a big mountain and effectively just coasted downhill for 200 miles you'd use virtually no fue...

Re: Charging en route (Hindsight!)
The Norwegian automobile association and other independent testing has shown that it can actually exceed the WLTP range. However, as with any electric car (and indeed petrol/diesel) - it all depends on a lot of factors. If you do a lot of stop start or acceleration, run the heater/aircon at high set...

Re: Why didn't the make the chrome pack standard
I'd quite like black trim, but as I'm going for an 80 and don't want Sportline suspension, I've got no option. Still, it's not the end of the world, I didn't have any option on any of my previous cars as they've all been second hand

Re: Enyaq collected!
The more photos I see of Energy Blue in normal lighting conditions (ie UK daylight rather than in a showroom), the more I think I might go for that rather than any of the metallic colours. It's a really nice blue

Re: Now you've seen one in real life, is the Enyaq bigger, smaller or exactly as you expected?
That's an idea - could someone who's got an Enyaq please measure the boot dimensions? Might be useful for people on here who haven't quite decided yet...

That's the advantage of the MEB platform - reduce the length of the bonnet (so no frunk) and add that space onto the back, so making the interior bigger. Also moving the heater/aircon stuff out from behind the dashboard into the bonnet area. Means that you get a lot more interior space.

Re: Enyaq connectivity
The SOS functionality in most modern cars (think it's due to become mandatory) isn't usually bound to any particular mobile network as it needs to be able to work no matter which signals are available. The online functionality uses the same data connection. This is because it's a data only connectio...

Re: DC charging
Options that don't affect the performance are allowed, but anything that makes it handle, brake or accelerate better and take it over the threshold can make it ineligible. The problem is of course the way the UK government dropped the threshold without warning, and it's unfortunate it was at the poi...

Re: DC charging
Yes, standard is Enyaq is 50kW maximum, but you can add an option to upgrade the battery management unit to take that to 100W (on 60 models) or 125kW (on 80 models). There are rumours that there might be a software update to increase that to 150kW or more at some point. But you do need the uprated b...

Re: DC charging
Charging from AC is generally slower because the available powers are lower: from about 2.6kW (domestic mains socket), 3.6kW or 7.2kW from a domestic charge point (eg PodPoint), and 11kW or 22kW from a public AC charge point (though I think the Enyaq can only use up to 11kW AC). This is because the ...
