Re: Poll: would you buy another Skoda EV?

Hi Cwi80. Ennie is between 19k and 20k miles and we've been offered either side of £25k for trade in, which will presumably continue to fall until we get the new one, for an initial purchase price of £45k. The car is pretty much showroom condition. Our plan will be to own the 85x for longer as we're...

Re: Poll: would you buy another Skoda EV?

I've voted yes as we've just put down a deposit on an 85 Edition including all the extras we have on our iV 80 such as sunroof, 20" wheels, tow bar, etc. but ditched the heat pump this time. We've even gone for the same race blue again, as none of the other colours work as well for us. We're gett...

Re: INSURANCE THROUGH MY LIMITED COMPANY

Apologies, typed out the wrong phrase - should have been registered keeper and my name is on the V5. Car paid for by our own limited company, the invoice effectively makes the company the registered owner. This will teach me to chip in while trying to juggle normal small business work priorities. Ju...

Re: INSURANCE THROUGH MY LIMITED COMPANY

I've had company cars from limited companies I've worked for in the past and I was the registered owner. We also bought our iV80 through our own limited company and again I'm the registered owner. Insurance is through Admiral and paid for by the company. I did check with them first and they said no ...

Re: Would you buy an iPhone 8 ?

What if I had chosen "a phone with Android Nougat" instead? Or "a PC with Windows 8"?
You’d be driving a Lada😜

Re: Would you buy an iPhone 8 ?

But if I were in the market today for a second-hand Skoda Enyaq I'd check more than just the traditional items of year and mileage. I'd want to know what software I was getting too. That's what I was wondering in my OP. Will everyone start checking software releases on prospective purchases, or am ...

Re: Would you buy an iPhone 8 ?

Your analogy is well timed as Apple release IOS 17 today, which funnily enough drops support for the iPhone 8 and, at the time, the revolutionary iPhone X. Owners of these will still receive security updates, but will be stuck with the feature set of IOS 16. However, iPhone owners have had it far be...

Re: Hidden Costs and Weight of owning an EV

Ressurecting an old post, but we thought some may be interested in the difference a year can make, as we returned to Northern Ireland in July for both business and pleasure. Having a 'Norn Iron wife, I've been travelling to/from NI for over 35-years and always used to fly and rent a car. Post pandem...

Re: Transport Package Use

Unfortunately not, it is too big and too long. However, it does a nice job of preventing the charging cable from falling over when the boot is empty.
