Re: what do i need to know - enyaq about to arrive!
My insurance company (LV) covers replacement in the first year should your new Enyaq be unfortunate enough to be written off, so not sure there is any need for GAP insurance in year 1? Obviously insurance policies vary so would need to check with your insurers. I would also recommend tyre insurance ...

Re: Travel assist 2.0 or 2.5?
I have assisted drive plus on my Enyaq and standard autopilot on my Tesla - the Enyaq is marginally better imo because it automatically slows for speed limits, roundabouts etc. The advantage with the Tesla is that upgrading to enhanced or full autopilot can be purchased via a OTA software update, al...

Do Skoda Dealers Understand EVs?
Just received a personalised 2 year service plan offer from my local Skoda Dealer for my Enyaq which includes an enhanced plan to change the spark plugs and air filter ( in addition to the pollen filter)! No doubt it includes an oil change as well?

Re: Why the obsession with intelligent octopus? Why not agile?
I’m on IO and charge 2 EVs, have no battery or solar, and put 200-300kWh into the EVs each month. With a little bit of domestic consumption transferred to the overnight rate our average cost is 15.4 kWh. I have a Sync EV charger and not sure whether this is compatible with Agile - I suspect not. Hop...

Re: Puddle lights broken up
When I had my first replacements, about 12 months ago, specifically asked if the hardware replacement unit had been upgraded. Was advised by my Dealer that it had not - apparently there is an “R” after the part number if it has been upgraded/changed from the original part number. I’m not rushing to ...

Re: Puddle lights broken up
Contacted Skoda Customer Services and was advised that software update 94r6 BCM is not applicable to my car and my software is up to date. However, just checked my puddle lights only to find the offside one is beginning to break up. I cannot understand how some cars can apparently have a software fi...

Re: Would you have another Enyaq?
Hi Archer - Tesla is quite a bit more to insure - around 65% more. I have a multi car policy with LV with cost about £950 in 2023 for both cars. The Y is likely to be even more expensive to insure. The Enyaq is quite reasonable to insure imo. Agree Rich R the Y is an ugly car although beauty is in t...

Re: Would you have another Enyaq?
I run my Enyaq alongside a Tesla Model 3RWD and when I look to sell both and come down to one EV, will seriously consider the soon to be introduced revised Tesla Model Y. If it’s as good as the new Model 3 Highland I drove a couple of weeks ago it will be a strong contender (quieter, softer suspensi...

Re: Alternative cars to Enyaq
Your Finance Co ought to be able to tell you how much finance is outstanding - in my experience most send an annual statement at least. With VAG you can check on their Finance App at anytime and generate an outstanding balance and current settlement figure. The VAG scheme is one of the most flexible...

Re: Alternative cars to Enyaq
My Enyaq is just over halfway through its 48 month PCP with a similar £13k to buy outright. I can’t make my mind up what to do at the end of the PCP, or even whether to keep for another 2 years. Second hand car values seem to have plummeted imo, or “market adjustment “ is the term dealers seem to us...
