Re: Battery Protection Limit

The car had charged from 70% starting at 1am, reached 80% at around 3:30 and the car stopped charging. But 9 times after that until 6am (the end of my off-peak electricity rate), there was a short spike of current. I assume it was trying to continue charging, but the car was refusing it as it was a...

Re: Car didn’t charge last night

Not sure how it works with Octopus but chargers are also meant to randomise the start time of a scheduled charge in order to avoid step changes in demand on the grid. https://pod-point.com/guides/smart-charge-point-regulations#:~:text=Instead%2C%20the%20demand%20is%20spread,and%20keep%20EVs%20chargi...

Re: Car didn’t charge last night

Charging at home or somewhere else? AC or DC? Any lights on the car charge port? What charger? What tariff? Cable definitely properly inserted? Has it worked properly before? Have you tried a different charger? Etc.

Re: Charging

Depends how much driving you do! A granny charger should put in ~10 miles of range an hour. With a 5 hour off-peak window, that’s 50 miles of cheap driving a day. Note that the Enyaq doesn’t take 22kW; AC charging maxes out at 11kW so you’re probably getting similar in one of those sessions to what ...

Re: Blue A

Auto recuperation (how much braking you get when lifting your foot off the accelerator) can be on because of Eco Assist or because you’re using ACC. Eco assist slows you down as you approach junctions, lower speed limits, corners, etc. I found it fairly discreet but some don’t like it. ACC obviously...

Re: Front seat tilt

D means the car will coast when you take your fit off the accelerator. Eco assist, if enabled, might apply some regen though (e.g., coming up to a junction or lower speed limit). If you want to slow down, you’ll need to move your foot to the brake. In B mode, the car will brake when you take your fo...

Re: Charge Port Cover Stuck

It’s curious that the description of the cover is all about keeping snow/dirt/leaves out and keeping the charger port clean, when the issue people are having is rain getting into the locking mechanism. But then, maybe “keep the rain from seizing up the poorly sealed motor” wouldn’t have got past the...

£600 ish, IIRC. I asked the dealer when we bought the car and they were going to charge £1300.

Re: Scheduled Charge Issues - Post ME3.7 Update

I have had similar problems with using the scheduler on my Simpson & Partners charger, just with the basic Scottish Power EV tariff. If I switch to using the car’s onboard charger schedule only it charges reliably overnight. However, I really want to have the option of using the charger to cont...

Re: Towbar install

I had one done in the summer. The physical install was great but the chap only told me on the day that he wouldn’t be able to code it. Something about Skoda not yet allowing third parties to code Enyaq (and maybe other models) built in 2023 or later, can’t remember exactly what he said. Anyway, not ...
