He said exactly what I thought when watching this - this is what the original model (Enyaq) should have been. Maybe not so much about the powertrain improvements although I've always thought it was a little behind other marques but its the software improvements. I know its a little silly but my inner child loved the idea of saying 'engage sports mode' so I was quite disappointed when I found I could not 'engage' drive modes with Laura...

An improvement - the bar was set low - but not impressed.
It looks like what should have been the GA version of 2021, as opposed to the Beta I'm driving: UX slightly improved, not entirely happy though for a few reasons but I see they tried to deliver at least some degree of consistency. Battery conditioning available albeit a few critical features of it are unclear. Some conceptual flaws still there - like driving mode/regen/B management. No news whatsoever on future HW/SW compatibility and other stuff like user management, connected services, which is a crucial bit. Also, to get this non-exciting stuff, they left any existing drivers hung out to dry...
They were behind, they made one step forwards, in the meantime competitors made 3 steps forwards. So you get in 2024+ what you should have got in 2021-2023, and this is is going to stay for years to come. Real life: Contract ending in 2026, If I get this stuff and I'd driving it up to 2029-2030. In 2030 driving this car? It would be like driving a car from the past, because it is, and with that price list...

I was disappointed that still the heat pump is an optional extra at £1!000 and not fitted as standard.
But still excited that my Sportline 85X is still on target for end Feb.
