Yes - don't just use any old extension lead that you've got lying about. Make sure it's one suitably rated for the task.

Re: Don’t pay road car tax next year
Basic rate of £195 in the first year, then if it's over £40,000, an extra £410 per year for years 2, 3, 4 and 5. Then reverts back to base rate of £195. As far as I'm aware, the additional £410 for vehicles over £40,000, only applies to vehicles registered from April 2025 onwards. If you already ha...

Re: Granny cable 30 metre 3 pin UK plug to type 2 plug
You can use a normal 25m mains extension lead, but make sure it is rated to carry 13A (a lot are only 10A), with a £150 standard granny charger plugged into the end (plenty to choose from on Amazon - search for 'EV charger', and pick a well known manufacturer such as Ring). Most granny chargers run ...

Re: Don’t pay road car tax next year
Some good explanations on the Government site: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/vehicle-tax-for-electric-and-low-emissions-vehicles Basic rate of £195 in the first year, then if it's over £40,000, an extra £410 per year for years 2, 3, 4 and 5. Re: Keyless entry not working when car is cold
Also note that if the car's 12V battery is low (which in cold weather is very common), then it will disable some systems to save power whilst in sleep mode. One of these is the keyless entry door handle sensors. So you have to use the fob to unlock the car. My 2021 Enyaq has been like this every win...

Re: Order Placed
When the 85s came out to replace the 80s, people were still getting the 80 that they'd ordered even if it was built several months after the 85 went on sale. I think they schedule what parts make and have brought to the factory in Mlada Boleslaw based on the order sheets - until such time as they ha...

Re: Anyone else still on 3.2?
To be fair, it's not come up as ready to install on my car yet anyway - 2021 Sportline 80. I'm thinking that given that the idea is to bring all 2.x and 3.x Enyaqs (ie everything since launch almost 5 years ago) up to 3.7, and that each has to be able to communicate its status to Skoda (well, Cariad...

Re: Used Enyaq 60 what software should I be on?
You can see if there are any outstanding recalls on this page: https://aus.skoda.com.au/request/vin-checker#secb (don't worry that it's Skoda Australia, it works for UK cars too). ME 2.x to 3.x was a mandatory recall as it fixed some safety related bugs, but within 3.x it's just feature updates or s...

Re: Anyone else still on 3.2?
I’m on 3.2 and probably not going to bother with 3.7 until it next goes in to the dealership for something. It doesn’t add anything noticeable and my car’s working fine. I’m going on holiday in a week so don’t want to risk gaining an odd software issue and not being able to get to the airport… Plus ...

Re: Front seat tilt
Do you have electric seats or manual? Manual seats do not have tilt control. On the electric seats, you can raise and lower the front and back separately by pushing the front or back of the horizontal control bit (well, I guess the back raises the whole seat and the front changes the tilt, but the e...
